This video might be interesting to those who live in the Desert Southwest. This video taken the morning of Earth Day April 21st 2012. Some times I think I need to talk about what the video is about. With 60 different types of seeds dumped into a 5 gallon bucket and scattered randomly everywhere and then scratched in with a pitch fork for some ground cover means it saves my lower back, and that seeds find where they want to grow, not where I think they should grow, so I GAVE UP TRYING TO CONTROL WHERE PLANTS NATURALLY WANT TO GROW. Seeds will naturally will find their best location where conditions are perfect for them. Also Im finding that the sides of the rebuilt contour swales from last year are perfect for planting spring salad greens and longer term crops like Onion Carrots Garlic Kale Spinach and Chard as well as Fennel and Hollyhock and Parsnips, and this way its super easy to collect a salad by walking around the paths and looking for larger leaves to pick. The Shade Cloth I have is a living shade cloth and these are the Biennial Plants that wintered over from last year that are just about to bolt and bloom and provide more shade and attract lots of pollinators right when I need them them the most especially now that its suddenly very hot and dry, and I get to look forward another huge bunch of beautiful flowers and a seed crop as well. This is the longest video about 32 minutes. Could not find a way to slice this into 2 tracks with Linux. Going to upload as it is <b>…<b>
